Princess Catherine shed tears as Anne rocked the world with heartbreaking revelations about the Queen's will

Queen Elizabeth II passed away two years ago, but details about her are kept secret due to a long-standing royal tradition. When a senior royal dies, their will is filed with the High Court in London, where it is sealed and kept for at least 90 years.

This means that no living person will have access to the Queen's will for quite some time. The British royal family's estimated net worth is around $28 billion, much of which is invested in unsaleable real estate and historic properties. In addition, Queen Elizabeth has a personal fortune in excess of $500 million, built up over her 70-year reign. Her fortune comes from investments, a massive art collection, jewelry, and valuable real estate.

It is believed that the Queen prepared personal gifts for each member of her family, reflecting the depth of her relationship with them. These thoughtful gifts were seen as more than just financial inheritances, symbolising shared roles, responsibilities and memories. Princess Anne, one of the Queen’s closest confidants, recently shared insights into the Queen’s final days, highlighting her steadfast devotion to her duties, even as her health rapidly declined.

Author Robert Hardman, who chronicled the Queen’s final moments, revealed that she remained energetic and engaged in her royal duties until her health took a turn for the worse. In the days before her death, Queen Elizabeth met Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his successor, Liz Truss, at Balmoral. Those present noted how animated she was at a pre-dinner gathering, chatting animatedly. That evening, however, she chose to eat alone, which some interpreted as a subtle acknowledgement of her fragile health.

The following day, the Queen rested in bed but tried to maintain a connection to her duties by arranging a video conference with her advisory council. As her condition worsened, plans changed to a phone call, but she ultimately opted to cancel the meeting altogether, following her doctor's advice to stay healthy. On the evening of 7 September, Princess Anne and her secretary informed Prince Charles of the Queen's condition and urged him to come immediately. Early the next morning, he and Queen Camilla arrived at Balmoral, but Charles was not at her bedside when she died, having stepped away for a moment to reflect.

Princess Anne remained at the Queen's side, along with her faithful aide, Angela Kelly, and the Reverend Kenneth McKenzie, who comforted her with verses from the Bible. Sadly, many members of the family, including Prince William, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, were still en route to Balmoral when the Queen died. For Prince Harry, the loss was made even more painful by the delay caused by ongoing family issues, his lack of involvement in the travel plans and his knowledge of her passing. The moment, recounted in his memoir "Spare," illustrates the emotional and physical distance that had grown between him and his family over the years.
