This happened at a Boy Scout camp when I was 15 years old. The friend who was supposed to share the tent with me called back from the trip at the last minute so that meant I had to set up my tent and sleep alone in the descending sun and after a long day of hiking, We went back to Camp to set up our tent. It was already dark at that time and I was still trying to set up the tent, it wasn't easy to do it by myself, someone came and finally helped me and then we had dinner after telling some amazing stories. Scared around the campfire, we all went to bed.

I guess I was kind of glad that I had my own tent at the time because I had more room. I fell asleep very quickly but woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of someone stomping around my tent, I immediately assumed it was another Boy Scout about to take a leak or something you might think. all of our efforts were done right next to each other but our Scouts actually had us pitch tents far apart so I was quite far away from my closest fellow Scouts stomping around the tent seemed to just go in circles so at that moment I was sure someone was making fun of me.

I asked who it was and responded to the point that they stomped into the woods, I almost saw myself going out and following them but I thought it wasn't worth it and just tried to go back to sleep but then it was hard to be sure that The Stomping was back and started circling the tent again, now I was annoyed so I stood up and unlocked the tent door. I was expecting to see another Boy Scout but instead, when I faced the person making the noise, I saw a six-foot-five grown man in his mid-30s perhaps.

My heart was pounding and I didn't even have the courage to scream. The man gave me a creepy smile and put his finger to his lips to signal me to be quiet. I turned 180 degrees and ran quickly back to the scout's tent, screaming like a baby, he ran out before I got to the tent and I told him about the man I saw, him and The other scout ran to my tent with one of the shotguns but they couldn't find the man they had found.

Watching the remaining man circling the tent we were all told to bring our tents closer together like literally right on top of each other the trip was cut short the next day and we all I all went home. I have never gone camping since then and I will never go again.
